We had packed houses for Mother’s Day and our Parent/Child Dedications. It’s always a fun time and always interesting to see what the young ones will do! They were amazing, as always, and we commend the parents for making this public commitment. As we said Sunday, we are behind you!

It’s time again to clean up the 2-mile stretch of highway that runs by Journey North’s property. The plan is to meet at 9:00am Saturday, June 1, at Journey North Church. It can take a couple hours (often less)… so the more people who show up to help, the faster it will go… and the more fun it will be! Thanks so much to Brad and Barb Turgeon for heading this up.

Today is the National Day Of Prayer. Today (and every day) is a great day to say a prayer for America. Pass it on.

Weather got you down? Well put on your grass skirts, grab your sunglasses and join us for a luau, Tuesday night at 7:00 on May 21. Mark your calendars now and invite a friend. This is will be a night to remember. Don’t miss out!

We’re planning on having a Parent~Child Dedication as part of each of our services on Sunday, May 12 (Mother’s Day).

Remember, this service is designed to recognize 3 different dedications… we are dedicating these precious children to a wonderful, loving Heavenly Father.

We are dedicating the parents to raise the kids in such a way that they hear and see the gospel lived out… so that they will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

And we as a congregation will dedicate ourselves to support these parents in this task by our prayers and our promise to assist them by providing encouragement, counsel and ministries to guide them.

Any Journey North parents interested in participating in this service, please contact us, contact the office, or put it on your communication card. If you haven’t participated before, we would like to talk with you about it first to answer any questions you might have and to fill you in on all the details.

CLASS 101 is the best way to find out everything you ever wanted to know about Journey North Church. It also happens to be necessary if you want to become a member. You can take the class and not become a member, you just can’t become a member without taking the class… does that make sense?

We’re going to have a CLASS 101 on Sunday, May 5, from 1-5pm. So sign up ahead of time, go grab lunch after church that day, come back for the class (snacks provided), and discover what life at Journey North Church is all about.

If you’re planning on attending, please remember to sign up so that we have an accurate number for materials, seating and snacks! Remember that there is no childcare provided so if that’s a need you have, we’re asking you to make arrangements with a sitter or another family or something. And maybe you’re called to help by volunteering to sit for the kids of someone God lays on your heart (at your home or theirs). Great opportunity for service!

Praise God for the great weekend we had at our 2013 Ladies Retreat. I certainly feel blessed to have such a wonderful group of ladies as sisters in Christ. I enjoyed every moment of our time together!

I just wanted to say thank you to our church family for praying our 7twelve group while we were in Duluth attending Districts this past weekend. God showed up in a BIG way. We were reminiscing in the girls small group last night and saying that His Spirit was so undeniable through out the conference. Praise be to God for all His amazing works!! As a group of our students head out to the District Conference in Duluth, they were greeted with some interesting weather for their normally Spring weather conference. We had 16″ of snow last night, but the roads have been cleared and the wind is the biggest factor in their adventure North. Be in prayer for these students and leaders. I know God is going to do big things this weekend!

Just got a text… they arrived safely and are already having a blast!

This high energy bunch of 4-6 graders are heading out to Camp Shamineau for the weekend. We are anticipating great things as they spend the weekend together! Please keep them in your prayers as we anxiously wait to hear God stories from them as they return.
